The Drum Dial is amazing!
So I had been hearing a lot about the Drum Dial. And I mean A LOT! It seemed like everyone had to get one because they made tuning so unbelievably easy. And I’m not the best tuner in the world because I can’t always distinguish the different pitches. So I decided that if it was so truly amazing I should go out and pony up the 60 bucks that i costs. And if I didn’t like it I could just go back and return it for a refund. So when I got home this is what I found out. More >
I need a new bass drum head…AND SOME PICS OF MY SET!!

So yeah I just broke my bass drum head, which really sucks. But oh well. I think I’m going to get a Remo powerstroke 3. And I’m gonna put a port hole in my reso with a chrome O in it. It’s gonna look pretty sick. But anyways, now for what y’all really want to see MY KIT! So here you go some sweet pics of my decent kit with horrible cymblas. By the wat it’s a Tama Superstar Custom. Well its more like a knee smasher. I don’t know about you, but lately when I’m just messing around and playing, I occasionally hit my knees. I’ll just be playing and then all of the sudden I’ll glance away from the kit, and my drumstick will come crashing down on my knee. IT HURTS! I mean it goes away pretty quickly, normally after a few minutes, but it really hurts. So it just goes to show you that you should always pay attention to what your doing.

The Roc-N-Soc Nitro Throne is unbeatable!
I don’t think that I have ever sat on a throne more comfortable than the Roc-N-Soc nitro throne. I will be purchasing this throne in the near future when my budget allows me too, because this thing is amazing. It’s almost like sitting on a cloud, but a cloud that just fits your butt perfectly. It seriously feels like its not even there and your just floating in mid air. But it doesn’t stop there! There are even more amzing advantages to this throne! More >
Rudiments

Rudiments, as everyone probably knows, are the fundementals of drumming. Every drummer should be able to learn and memorize all of the 40 standard rudiments picked by the Percussive Arts Society which can be see here: http://www.vmea.org/stef/forms/rudiments.pdf. However in addition to these 40 there are also many hybrid rudiments. They are really just variations of the original 40 and a few of them can be seen here: http://www.gmajna.net/svojat/strudel/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/06/128hybridrudimentbook.pdf. These are all very helpful rudiments that should also be added to your daily practice routine. I like to add a few of these to my practice everyday all with the 40 rudiments, and it really helps. When this came up in my YouTube subscriptions I immedaitely clicked on it. Then for 3 minutes I couldn’t believe my eyes. Perfect in everyway, so clean, amazing speed around the entire kit, just flawless. I had to post it here even though Andrea Vadrucci is so popular already, I might as well plug him here too. I just found this cool site called www.freedrumlessons.com. It’s actually pretty cool, because it gives insight to various styles of drumming. Now I consider myself to be an intermediate drummer, and to me this site was really helpful. Yes some of it was extremely basic, but if you’re just starting out then there’s no problem there. I personally like the parts about double-bass, and odd timing, because those are some of the things I need to work on. They also give sheet music and have multiple ways to view thier videos. Here’s one of their videos about Songo Drum Beats.
