This is something I will soon be adding to my stickbag. The slapstick lets you play unbelievable rhythms and although some people think its cheating, it’s just another way to play (but I still think you should learn to play 16th notes on hihat, just because you gain a lot more independance).Jeff Consi from http://www.jeffconsi.com/ wrote a great blog post it;you can find the link here. Here’s a video of it in action.
